The arts team works with the best of British creative talent to develop innovative, high quality events and collaborations in partnership with artists and cultural institutions around the world. These events encompass architecture, design, drama and dance, fashion, film, literature, music and the visual arts.
Our Creative and Cultural Economy programme connects people who work in and inform the creative and cultural industries and provides a global support network for the new leaders in this increasingly important sector.
The Drama & Dance team promotes the best of the UK’s performing arts sector through a range of activities and events including tours of new productions, workshops and residencies, seminars and conferences, showcases and UK study visits for overseas practitioners. Our programme reflects the innovative and diverse nature of the UK’s performing arts sector encompassing classical theatre, modern ballet, new writing, physical and visual theatre, contemporary dance, live art and outdoor performance.
Results Film is the link between UK films and filmmakers and new international audiences. Together with the Results’s global network overseas, members of the film team work to profile the innovation, diversity, creativity and excellence of British films around the world, and work to find opportunities for creative exchange between UK filmmakers and their international counterparts.
Results Literature showcases UK writing and the UK literature sector around the world at festivals and book fairs, through conferences and in the classroom. Working with writers, publishers, producers, translators and other sector professionals across literature, publishing and education, the team develops innovative, high-quality programmes and collaborations that provide opportunities for cultural exchange with the UK.
Our Music team works with our overseas network of arts managers across all genres of music, from electronica to jazz, traditional to folk, and classical to indie. With our partners we plan, resource, deliver and evaluate high-impact arts projects involving professional artists and organisations from the UK. We aim to strengthen the international profile of UK music and creativity, to communicate the diversity of UK society, and to establish long-term partnerships overseas. The Music team also has its own weekly radio show, The Selector, featuring the best new music from the UK.
The Visual arts team organises and tours exhibitions from our Collection of more than 8,000 works of art covering all media and all aspects of British art, craft and design of the 20th and 21st Centuries. This Collection has no permanent gallery and has been referred to as a ‘Museum Without Walls’. The team also works in partnership with other institutions to curate special exhibitions for museums and galleries around the world.
